German hosting provider, Domain Factory, has recently suffered a data breach. The breach took place earlier this year on January 28th 2018, and included customer names, physical addresses, birthdates, phone numbers, bank names, account passwords, and account numbers. The attack successfully compromised a data feed due to a vulnerable system. The breach was discovered on July 3rd and Domain Factory has since patched the vulnerable system. It is currently unknown who had attacked the company, however the attacker claims that the company had owed him money. The company has contacted authorities and notified their customers. Customers are advised to change their login credentials along with their MySQL, FTP, SSH, and Live disk passwords.
